Like a squirrel on speed

…or that fluffy Labrador from the ‘UP’ movie when in the presence of squirrels… that is how I felt last night when dealing with the changes of the cata patch.

I was too dizzy to screenshot even which is just sad! I joined the mass exodus from Dalaran and found that the boat traffic was intense for the first time in… well what feels like forever. A friend over Real ID had a small fit as he discovered the lack of portal holes (not in the patch notes apparently o_o but I got that news from bloggers so I wouldn’t know) and then he logged off immediately to roll a baby mage alt – which I thought was an interesting reaction.

The guild channel was full of people changing their main toons races to create optimal race-class mixes for upcoming guild achievements.

The first thing I did? Boated out to felwood to tame the green tiger on my hunter toons… all of them. They now all have a battle cat Cringer of their own. Then I fell off cliffs a lot and died in this manner repeatedly. I checked out the Tauren starting area on my druid and observed all the terrible terrible paladin cow names appearing ‘holybull’ ‘holyudder’ and so on… yeah it was pretty ‘HorriBULL’ and ‘HOLYble’ arrgh – certainly as bad as the blood elf area when it first came out. I rolled a troll druid to view the new starting area and then attention span shot I relogged onto my hunter and rode around different zones exclaiming “ZOMG cute snail” and “Ahhh Flying Cows” in guild chat while updating my Real ID broadcast every two minutes.

Sigh… then I got dizzy and had to go to bed without actually having achieved a single useful thing or even doing any pilgrims quests on my main achievement too.

Still … heh… GREEN TIGER! /smug
