Speaking of … yarhump

The troublesome tram link is actually all about cyber in the Iron Forge Deeprun Tram tunnels. Ironically enough a friend of small-blog had a disturbing experience down those tunnels just recently. Cracked me up, what with all the boomkin flirtation jokes flying around lately.

I would have thought that the deeprun would be a bad place to cyber myself – with how it is being the main horde access road to Iron Forge, but apparently cyber in the Alliance tunnels is a … long (oh god )… proud (snort) … upstanding (bwahahahhaha) deep (*dies laughing*) -run tradition.

Well in any case there is an article about it over on WoW Insider :p

If any horde is interested on spying in the tram-ways there’s a sweet solo Hunter infiltration guide over yonder. But be wary of death for the Stormwind graveyard run is indeed the worst I have ever experienced.

Didn’t you guys know, fikkle has many accounts, and spends his days cybering in tunnels. Dirty dirty orc.

The yarhump exposé supposedly occured on my server, Feathermoon US. It was later revealed to have been entirely fictional, but it did spawn a number of jokes (some involving the phrase “Dwarven hand cannon”) and attract for a short time a large tsunami of non-RP idiots who wanted to further grief the community. Fun times!

From my experience — having played on a few PvP servers and this one RP server — the cyber occurs on all servers. The difference is that it’s somewhat more acceptable (maybe more expected?) on a roleplaying server where character development may often involve a turn in that direction. Most of us will assume that something happened between consenting adult characters, but some do enjoy roleplaying that aspect of roleplay. There are also a few characters that I know of that roleplay “working girls”; two in particular roleplayed Third War widows who had to sell their bodies to survive. Not the path I would have taken in character development, but it’s still an interesting idea. I miss seeing them hang around Stormwind because they were actually very interesting — though none of my characters who have requested their services, thank-you-very-much!

And if you think the Tram is bad, avoid Goldshire; “[y]ou will never find a more wretched hive of scum and villainy. [You] must be cautious.” Be sure to bring a paladin with you for Blessing of Protection and Cleanse!

    Nice background! 🙂

Yeah – my theory is now that the tunnels have this verbal ‘rep’ … well then if some bear wants to cyber – he just takes a walk down the tunnel looking for likely parties.

I’m a PVP server type (moved over to PVP-RP lately) – so I am always surprised by any cross faction hanky panky I see :p lol. But yeah cyber is an amusing online tradition. I’m starting to feel the urge to go goose some poor Tauran actually (mwahahahahaa.)
