Remember the AV Queues?
~found this over at Out of Mana~
Actually if you don’t count complaints about the graveyard bugs horde have been getting in AV (didn’t pop – gotta run – rezed and died, rez lagged out, so strange, took 5mins for me to pop into AV after accepting etc etc) Horde don’t really seem to care that much about the changes to AV …sure we lose more matches than we used to, winning is harder – but the smart groups run a tight defense/attack combo and can win anyway.
Horde Just Wants To … well not have fun … maybe Gank Some Alliance.
Hardest thing about AV these days is you really end up with Alliance on Drek in the first 5mins if you don’t play a tight game. Only the best Horde play: heals, pull back for heals if you are dying (horde are natural kamikaze), charge the important points, defend, smack anything attempting to gy tap, etc etc. Only the best play will win up alliance-end killing off Vandar – mostly we win on reinforcements.
The new starting area leads to a heavy defense … but if it isn’t a defense that communicates and understands that the choke is no longer the be-all & end all, Alliance will win. I notice groups that have a hard core attack squad and a flexible but huge defense win the most (but try finding the balance between huge defense and hard core attack o_O) … oh and no point must ever be left unguarded.
It also seems that the horde is taking the untouchable graveyard ‘Snowfall’ more often than not … dunno at one point in the week I could almost predict a loss on whether or not we had that graveyard (we had it we were going down) … but the dynamics have been changing as horde learns new tactics. (Horde kinda learns it kinetically and then moves as a.. well horde, pretty sure the flow to the win is coming back – at the moment though the waves are crashing on alliance zerg and reinforcements go down the drain)
I still miss the collection and summons we all had time for in the very very old days …I can cash in armour if I play defence but all those lovely event quests seem wasted, the new play style isn’t really heading in a direction that will reintroduce them.
