Tailchaser (85) Nightelf Druid – Bear/Cat
One of my youngest toons by far… yet the second to make it to 80, druids are that wonderful! I levelled as a hordie-cat and frankly I think I was rather good at the (damned complicated) cat-rotation and keeping myself behind the target, but when I hit Northrend instances I fell behind in dps and I really felt it, actually noticed it. As melee dps I was always in all the crap mobs drop on the tank (bombs i hate bombs), I was at the tanks mercy if he decided to drag the boss mob erratically around the room… and in the new era of AOE I wasn’t able to contribute much at all (hadn’t levelled to cat-swipe ability.) I started feeling green when I saw a moonkin. Decided to try healing so specced tree… because I was still levelling (70+) I also went moonkin so that I wouldn’t have such a problem carrying two sets of gear around (and because I was green-eyed damn it). I secretly dream of being a bear and a PVP cat on this toon, and just when I thought I had my two gear sets in reasonable order too.
EDIT: well seeing as how the shaman has become my guild group toon I am now free to fluff around with my druid specs. Moonkin AOE dps has gradually gotten quite boring for me, even though the rotation is a little more complicated than an elemental shamans (which I am loving). So I’ve decided to spec into a messy cat-bear hybrid talent tree as the decreased dps shouldn’t be an issue in heroics as they are currently. At the moment collecting two new sets of “pre-raid” level gear is keeping me well entertained. Next it will be a case of mastering what I remember being the most complicated rotation I have experienced in wow to date. Alas cataclysm is probably going to force me to pick cat or bear… but bah in the meantime I shall live it up.
Bytes (85) Draenei Shaman – Elemental PVE/Resto
Bytes is actually my oldest existing character (except one other level 20 something shaman sitting on some other random server that was a part of a bonnie & clyde duo) all toons older than bytes here have been deleted. She was my horde side PVP queen back in the days of horde-only-shamans and alliance-only-paladins and massive two-handed weapon windfury crits. The melee shaman was my fav toon next to my hunter before the druid passion eclipsed all. However just like the druid I found melee wasn’t really helping me in the instances and I switched to elemental/resto. Of course she has achieved nothing!!
Trailcat (85) Nightelf Hunter – SV/BM
Once orc, now elf. Hmmm I have mild hunter burnout so I suspect this toon will be assigned rep grinds and achieves and little other play time.
Tincake (85) Draenei Paladin – Prot/Ret-PVP
I think I love tanking! EDIT: except at endgame
Cryptical (76) Gnome Deathknight – Unspecced
From undead to tiny emo O_O I can barely remember how to play as dps on this toon zomg. Should I research DK tanking… it would require re-gearing and re-gemming. Hmmm.
Teacozy (55) Dwarf Priest – Disc
I bubble things, but I remember pvp was epic on the priest and thus may get back into that when I get over this tanking kick.
Toons on hold (otherwise known as lost loves)
- Ratha (61) Goblin Hunter: Ironically this toon was once a little night elf, then became an orc, now she is a goblin.
- Nettle (40) Worgen Druid: Nettle is actually very old, she was rolled when Khaz’goroth the first oceanic server opened up. But she was never played past gaining the purple ‘of-the-fang’ outfit because I had other servers. I’m thinking of leveling her as a bear tank with heirlooms because druids are just that much fun it can’t hurt to have two. Recently faction changed for the guild perks.
- Truecolours (24) - tiny tott mage
